Project Overview
### Project Overview
For a logistics company with a fleet of 500+ trucks, we created a **Logistics & Fleet Tracking Dashboard**. The system utilizes IoT sensors to monitor vehicle health, location, and driver performance in real-time.
### Problem Statement
The client faced rising fuel costs, unauthorized vehicle usage, and maintenance delays. They lacked visibility into their fleet's operations once trucks left the depot.
### Solution Provided
We integrated GPS and OBD-II telemetry data into a central command dashboard. The system alerts fleet managers of route deviations, speeding, or engine faults. It also optimizes delivery routes to save fuel and time.
### Technologies Used
* **Frontend:** React.js, Mapbox GL
* **Backend:** Node.js, MQTT (IoT Protocol)
* **Database:** InfluxDB (Time Series Data), MongoDB
* **IoT:** AWS IoT Core
* **Mobile:** Flutter (Driver App)
### Key Features
* **Live Map Tracking:** Real-time location of all assets on an interactive map.
* **Predictive Maintenance:** AI predicts engine failures before they happen based on sensor data.
* **Route Optimization:** Algorithms calculate the most fuel-efficient routes.
* **Driver Scorecards:** Rates drivers on safety and efficiency metrics.
* **Geofencing:** Alerts when vehicles enter or exit designated zones.
### Business Impact
* **Reduced fuel consumption by 18%** through better route planning.
* **Decreased maintenance costs by 20%** via predictive alerts.
* **Improved on-time delivery rate to 98%**.
